Actually Matters

Velocity turns raw post-class activity into crisp evidence — from first reaction to real business impact — without juggling spreadsheets.

Three Questions , One Honest Answer

Evaluation usually stops at a smile sheet. Velocity answers the three questions that decide
whether training was worth it — on one dashboard, in the learner’s own evidence.

Did they take it on board?

Instant pulse surveys the moment class ends, plus pre/post self-assessments, show whether the session landed and how much confidence and knowledge shifted.

Are they doing it differently?

SAR stories — backed by manager comments — capture the specific things people now do at work that they didn’t before. Time-stamped, tagged to a competency, searchable.

Is it moving the business?

Objective and KPI tags connect that behaviour to the goals it was meant to serve — and show which ones actually moved.

The Evidence Gathers Itself

Behind those three answers sit a few simple capture mechanisms — each feeding the same dashboard.

Instant Surveys — A reaction pulse the moment class ends (mobile-friendly, high completion) plus pre/post self-assessments that auto-chart confidence and knowledge shifts.

SAR Stories + Manager Dialogue — Learners post Situation · Action · Result stories; managers add comments or kudos in-stream. Anecdotes become analysable, competency-tagged data.

Impact & Objective Tags — Map training to business objectives at setup; a heat-map shows which goals moved, with KPI overlays for hard numbers like sales lift or defect drop.

Engagement Analytics — XP, badges, likes, comments, and response speed quantify adoption — and correlate: more engagement ⇢ more SAR stories ⇢ stronger impact.

What An Entry Looks Like

A completed SAR story, the tags it carries, and the manager’s confirmation beneath it. This is the kind of
behaviour no completion rate would catch and no self-assessment would make defensible.

QUESTION

Share a real instance when you influenced someone by understanding their needs, rather than by trying to convince them with information alone.

Situation

A new hire was due to start our two-day induction in the same week he was relocating with his wife and their two-month-old baby, and travelling to meet his hiring manager. The stakeholder wanted the programme run on schedule, for consistency.

Action

I started from what the stakeholder actually needed — for the new hire to integrate quickly and get clarity on the work. Then I spoke to the employee, and it was clear that induction in that week would be absorbed by relocation and family. I proposed the next batch instead.

Result

The stakeholder agreed, and the new hire settled properly through his first days.

Time-stamped, tagged to a competency, and confirmed by the person who saw it happen. That is
what makes it evidence rather than an anecdote.

The Model , In Practice

“I would strongly recommend Resultslab to all programs that are interested in sustaining learning retention & measuring learning effectiveness among training-attendees. The tool removes the leakage of time and energy Training departments and supervisors have to invest in following-up with individuals' learning efforts. In fact, this tool takes care of the need of capturing the learning in such a fashion that the supervisors/trainers can focus on higher value addition to the learners.”

Srinivas Ghanagam

Vice President, Human Resources, Freudenberg India

“It was good to see participants put their learnings/experience into words, application of their learnings. It gave us an insight about how it had touched every participant in his professional and personal life and more importantly the success of the program. We have been able to use resultslab with a higher degree of confidence in our successive training modules. ”

Prabha K

“ResultsLab is a very powerful tool to check the effectiveness of learning take away, you get to see how participants are applying learning in their day to day lives. A big worry for L&D heads is “training effectiveness” and I must say with an engaging platform like Results Lab, this worry is taken care of. I would strongly recommend this as a tool.”

Payal Bhat

“I love that it provides me with the ability to keep my learners engaged and connected to the learning even when they are out of the classroom. Additionally it is a great tool for both learners to track their progress and for L&D to identify areas requiring further interventions.”
